Marc Fryt is a US Army veteran and helicopter pilot who found solace in fly fishing during his service. Now a guide in Spokane, Washington, Marc is a writer and photographer whose work has appeared in The Drake, Flyfish Journal, and American Fly Fishing. His new book, The Guide to Urban Fly Fishing: How to Explore and Enjoy Your Local Waters, explores the diverse voices of urban anglers across the country. 

Whether you are a seasoned angler or a complete beginner, Marc’s presentation is designed to take the intimidation out of urban fly fishing. He will dive into the technical and legal how-to of fishing in a city, including:

• Navigating state and city water access codes

• Identifying private versus public land

• Finding your next "honey hole" using digital tools before you leave your apartment

• Recommendations on gear and transportation
